In 1931, Universal Studios filmed the classic horror film Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi as the infamous Count from Transylvania. As daylight faded, a new cast and crew took over to reshoot the scenes in Spanish each night. Discover this unique bilingual production with classic Latin American cinema expert Alejandra Espasande.
Join the discussion as LA Opera’s Resident Conductor, Lina González-Granados, delves into the eerie new LAO-commissioned score by Academy Award-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us and Brokeback Mountain). Explore how this score will bring a fresh dimension to Dracula's film performance with live orchestra, which will take place October 24, 25 & 26.
