BOARD MEMBER IN SERIOUS CONDITION
AFTER AUTO ACCIDENT
OLLA board member, Eleanor Gnup, was seriously injured in an auto accident on Friday June 12. She and her husband, Eddy, were struck broadside by a woman who had run a red light. The woman and Eddy Gnup were not seriously injured, but Eleanor, who was driving, suffered multiple injuries. Eddy was released and is at home. Eleanor is currently being treated at UCI Trauma Center in their ICU facility.
Daughters Andrea and Val, who are with Eddy, emphasized this is not a good time to visit. It is best to send cards to Elle's home and the daughters will take them to the hospital. Flowers are also not advised until Elle is transferred from the ICU.
Board member and neighbor, Wendy van Haerlem is coordinating food for the family. Anyone wishing to participate may contact Wendy at Info@operaleague.org. Andrea said gift certificates to local Orance County Restaurants would be very helpful.
Elle is aware of the outpouring of love, prayers and good wishes from everyone. She is in a top flight facility, receiving the best care possible. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
